    About World Poetry Day

    World Poetry Day was declared March 21 by UNESCO in 1999 in order to acknowledge poetry’s ability to capture the creativity of the humankind.

    Celebrating World Poetry Day promotes the teaching of poetry, creates a dialogue about poetic imagery, and acknowledges the cultural diversity and spirit of the poetic art form.

    Share a few special moments with a child on World Poetry Day by reading aloud together and discussing the splendor of a poem. 📚
